Who we are
Abby Richard founded The Skies Within Yoga Collective to share a unique fusion of healing practices drawn from Ancient Eastern science and Modern Neuroscience. Her work bridges the intuitive wisdom of the body with evidence-based tools for nervous system regulation and personal transformation.
Abby holds certifications in Multistyle Hatha (200 Hr), Adaptive (50 Hr), and Restorative Yoga (25 Hr) through Siddhi International Institute, along with a Level II Reiki certification earned through her work with Empath Health Hospice, offering energy healing to patients in end-of-life care.
She graduated with honors from Colorado State University with a degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and is a first author on research published in The American Journal of Occupational Therapy, “Participants with Acquired Brain Injury Realized They ‘Could Still Do Things’ After a Yoga Intervention: A Qualitative Desciptive Study”.
Abby’s yoga journey began during her university studies, where she discovered the healing power of breath, movement, and presence. She began teaching in her living room six years ago and has since worked with individuals across a wide spectrum: brain injury survivors, elders, athletes, and everyday seekers; she brings accessible, heart-centered guidance to every session.
She met Paul two years ago at his community yoga class at the local cold plunge, where he invited her to share the practice. Inspired by his presence, wisdom, and his contageous positive energy, she agreed and they’ve been teaching side by side nearly every week since.
She fell in love with Zee hearing her sing at a poetry open mic last year and has been learning and growing alongside her since. Zee has helped inspire, empower, and transform her life and her outlook through her powerful music, her dedication to growth and discipline, and her passion for tools that transform our relationship with our lives.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to help you heal your nervous system, embrace the weather patterns of your mind, and remember how to come home to your body, one breath at a time.
